Modern Man, Census 2021 What you need to know.....

Sunday 21st March 2021 the day we filled in the census, 1 year of lockdown and its impact is felt across all walks of society. Upon the banks of the River Hull the virus has imprinted itself across the landscape, still in lockdown the hope of vaccine one leg in the waters of the unknown as the first doses of this new medicine is thrust upon us. The science will it be sound? without consequence? mistakes of the past echo all around us of humanities scientific endeavour! But errors dont occur anymore not in the days of Modern Man so thought every scientist before now, as we fiddle around with 1 million years of human evolution coming from billions of years of natural selection and the miracle of life. Hope and Faith that our leaders know better, Hope and Faith that the cure is not worse than the bite its hasty arrival without the normal period of evaluation. In the sky above fighter jets break the silence of the day, in the news stories of global tensions filter through as a back story to the virus, as we all lockdown and global travel haults, the times are changing in the depth of silence, the truth perhaps to terrifying to tell. At ground level amongst the lives of the day to day people fear is broken by boredom, crime and upfront social problems, families grieve at the hands of anothers violent action, some walk and find freedom in each step others spew out self expression with artistic endeavours or destruction, either outlet we all go through this together although the bondage not shared equally but shared still with our wings clipped and our free will in chains, we hope. Thankfully our government have maintained order and stability, we have food and water, we have entertainment, we have one another and the freedom of our immediate landscape & communities, we have faith in the vaccine and hope for light against the darkness. 100 years in time "we" each and everyone of us were more than just a stastistic, we lived and thought and felt just as you do now, our lives only differ by time.
